When Brooke Shields was only five days old, her mother decided that her beauty demanded a career in show business, and clearly she was onto something: Shields' first modeling job was at 11 months old, when she was photographed by Ivory Soap. She attended the New Lincoln elementary school and then the Dwight-Englewood high school, all while modeling and acting. In 1980, she became at 14 years of age the youngest fashion model ever to grace the cover of Vogue. Her controversial Calvin Klein commercials later that year catapulted her into international stardom, yet among the flurry of all her professional work she still managed to graduate high school, and then attend Princeton University. Shields graduated with her bachelor's degree in French literature in 1987, after publishing a memoir on her experiences thus far. She went on to star in dozens of television shows and movies and currently has a recurring role in Army Wives.
