The youngest of four children, Courteney Cox was born into an affluent Southern family in Birmingham, Alabama on June 15th, 1964. She was a typical “Daddy’s girl”, and took it quite hard when her parents divorced. She didn’t make things easy for her mother, or her stepfather. Growing up in the exclusive society town of Mountain Brook, Coco attended Mountain Brook High School—where she excelled as a cheerleader, tennis player and a swimmer. In her senior year she got her first taste of modeling, though she subdued that desire in order to study architecture and interior design at Mount Vernon College. A year later, Ms. Cox signed with the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency and dropped out of college. While modeling, the lovely Courteney also took acting classes, which led her to become the delightful diva we all know and love today.
