Derrick Rose College:

Derrick Rose was raised in the dangerous Chicago neighborhood Englewood and taught how to play basketball by his three older brothers. Even when he was just 15 and entering Simeon Career Academy, college basketball coaches were already clamoring for the budding hoops ingenue. Rose ended up choosing to play for the University of Memphis Tigers and received a full scholarship for doing so. Nevertheless, after only a year he left school to play professionally for the Chicago Bulls. Since then he has won Rookie of the Year and has been the youngest ever to receive the NBA Most Valuable Player Award.
