Emma Watson was born in Paris but grew up in Oxfordshire, England. She wanted to be an actress from the age of six, studying singing, acting and dancing at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. Her performances in numerous Stagecoach productions won her a leading role in the Harry Potter films when she was 9 years old, but she still attended the Dragon School in Oxford until she was 13. For high school, she went to Headington School, often being tutored on set for up to five hours a day. All of her studying paid off, as she took the GCSE exams in 2006 and received all A's. Nevertheless, she took a year-long break from school in 2009 to film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before attending Brown University. After a year and a half at Brown, she decided to defer her coursework and spent a year as a visiting student at Worcester College in Oxford, but this year the 23-year-old starlet with a highly successful film career plans to return to Brown University to finish her degree.
