Jennifer Aniston was born on February 11th, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, California. Acting was in her blood—both parents are actors, and strongly encouraged her interest in drama. At age 11 she had her first taste of life on stage when she joined the Rudolf Steiner school’s drama club. There she also discovered a passion for art, and a painting of hers was featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Soon she began officially training as a drama student at the New York School of Performing Arts, which was a division of the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts. Throughout her high school career, Jen was known as the “class clown”, which, no doubt, aided her later in life as she moved on to her iconic role as Rachel in the sitcom “Friends”. She graduated in 1987, and after a few minor roles in television and movies, she landed the Big One on “Friends”. The rest, as they say, is history.
