Jessica Simpson College:
Jessica Simpson was raised in Texas by a homemaker and a minister. When she was twelve, she auditioned for The Mickey Mouse Club, but felt intimidated by the other performers and did not get the job. Luckily, a year later, she was discovered by a gospel music label at her church camp and got to record an album. Though the label folded, Simpson was signed to Columbia Records only three years later when they heard her album, leading her to drop out of J.J. Pearce High School in favor of earning her GED. Her Columbia Records album catapulted her to success, with many of the singles entering the Top Ten charts and "I Wanna Love You Forever" going platinum three months after its release. After becoming an international pop star, Simpson began acting, making her film debut in The Dukes of Hazzard. To date, she has starred in many movies, recorded three gold and two platinum studio albums, and has been ranked one of VH1's Sexiest Artist of All Time.
